Max Healthcare to expand services outside NCR

New Delhi, Aug 24: Max Healthcare, a dominant player in the health sector, will expand its services outside the National Capital Region (NCR) by next year.

''After becoming NCR's one of the chief healthcare providers, the company plans to launch two more speciality hospitals including one in north India by next year,'' Max Healthcare Institute Chairman Analjit Singh told reporters at the launch of its family insurance plan here yesterday.

Besides, the company will set up one hospital in Gurgaon by early 2007.

The company, presently, has seven hospitals in the NCR in addtion to its two super speciality hospitals.

Max Healthcare has invested more than Rs 200 crore on its present set-up, Mr Singh said.

He emphasised on the main focus areas such as Life Insurance, Healthcare and Clinical Research services.

On being asked about the type of hospitals, Mr Singh said it would be decided on the conditions and demands of the region.
