JSPL,Bhusan Steel to get government land
Jamshedpur, Aug 24 (UNI) In a significant move towards rapid industrialisation in the state, the Jharkhand government has approved allotment of land to Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), Bhusan Steels and Konti Steels in East Singhbhum district.
According to the district deputy commissioner N M Kulkarni the administration had already sent proposals for 584.62 acres of land to JSPL, who had deposited the transfer money of Rs 1.99 crore with the district treasury while Bhusan Steels and Konti Steels were served demand notes of Rs 1.1 crore and Rs 49.27 lakhs for 483.52 and 258 acres of government land respectively.
Mr Kulkarni said apart from the government land, the JSPL had also acquired 3.382 acres of private land at Asanboni area of the district for their proposed plant while Bhusan and Konti Steel also identified 2404 and 1361 acres of private land respectively in Ghatshila area.
The district administration also gave green signal for allotment of 3.12 acres of land to renowned film director Prakash Jha for setting up of multiplex project here, Mr Kulkarni said.
''We have allotted land to city based Bluescope, Chandigarh based Steel Strip Wheels Private Limited and few other companies.
Government land was also given to religious organization Prajapita Brahmakumari'',he said.
