New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) India will host the Second Regional Economic Cooperation Conference here on November 18 and 19, official sources said here today.

The two-day conference will be attended by Foreign Ministers of about 20 countries, including the US and the UK.

It will deliberate on the programmes and policies for economic cooperation among themselves and review the progress of the first such Conference held in Kabul on December 4 and 5, 2005.

The Kabul Conference had decided to lay particular focus on agriculture and agro-industry development in the second conference.

The Kabul Conference was co-Chaired by Afghanistan and the UK and attended by representatives from neighbouring countries, the G-8, the UN and international financial institutions.

The conference achieved a greater understanding of regional priorities for co-operation and published a 'Kabul Declaration' setting out future work.

The regional countries had decided to meet again in nine months time to review progress.
