Huge traffic jams likely in Delhi tomorrow due to processions

New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) Traffic bottlenecks await people of Delhi tomorrow with a host of processions scheduled in several areas through the day.

Delhi traffic police have announced diversions on several routes tomorrow in view of the processions line up for the day.

Traffic in the Nabi Karim area is likely to be disrupted due to a Baba Ram Dev procession between Nabi Karim and Sadar Bazar tomorrow.

The procession, likely to be attended by 10000 people, will start from 1000 hours.

Two other processions in the Karol Bagh area, by Sri Baba Ramdev Janamotsav samaroh samiti at about 0900 hours and by Shri Baba Ramdev Mandir Mahotsav sanchalan samiti at 1000 hours is likely to disrupt traffic in the Karol Bagh area.

Movement of traffic in the Yamuna bazar and Chandni Chowk areas is likely to be affected due to an annual procession of Bhadri amavash mela shobha yatra at 1200 hours.

Traffic in Kamla Nagar and Jhandewalan areas is likely to be affected due to several processions by several bodies on the occasion of annual jhulelal mela, between 1500 Hours and 1830 hours.

The Delhi Traffic police have made several arrangements for regulation, diversion and stoppage of traffic along the route of the procession.

In addition, traffic in and around Connaught place is likely to remain disturbed due to the anti-quota agitation by the medicos.
