A UNI report from Jammu, quoting Assistant Superintendent of Police Varinder Sharma, said personnel of 4 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and the police, on a specific information, launched a joint operation at Kalihand village and killed two Hizbul militants.

The militants have been identified as Kuldeep Kumar alias Kamran alias KK, a resident of Roti, Paderna in Doda district, and Abdul Latief alias Khalid Kashmiri of Anantnag district in south Kashmir.

Four hand grenades were seized from them.
