New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today said it would restrain Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss and Health Secretary P K Hota from attending the Institute Body Meeting if the Centre and the AIIMS failed to file their replies within two weeks to the petition alleging that they were holding the posts in contravention to the recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee in 1996.

Expressing anguish over the attitude of the authorities for not submitting the replies, Justice Anil Kumar said, ''File specific and clear replies to the allegations otherwise both the Union Health Minister and Health Secretary would be debarred from attending the Institute Body meeting.'' While issuing notices to both the Union Government and AIIMS on July 14, the Court had granted four weeks time for them to file their replies.

In a petition filed by Counsel Sugiv Dubey and Namita Roy, petitioner Dr S S Kale and others alleged that a Parliamentary Committee in 1996 had said there would be no autonomy in the AIIMS if both the Minister and Secretary were in the Institute Body.
