Govt. moves court to secure Bachu Rahman's presence in tantri case

Kochi, Aug 24 (UNI) The Kerala state prosecutor today filed a petition before the state high court seeking direction to Bachu Rahman, a key accused absconding in the Sabarimala tantri attack case, to appear before the court.

Seeking Bachu Rahman's presence in the court when his anticipatory bail plea is heard, the prosecutor said that the presence of Bachu Rahman was essential for further investigation.

The petition has been filed, invoking the power of court under section 438(1)6 of the amended Criminal Procedure Code.
