Emperor textile launches Playboy undergarment

Chennai, Aug 24 (UNI) The Tirupur based Emperor Textile has launched their exclusive range of gents undergarments 'Playboy' in Chennai.

Andhra Pradesh based S R Mills, the official licensee of Playboy undergarments, make the product available in Indian market. The new range will offer consumers a fashionable alternative in the men's undergarment market.

Addressing a press conference here today Executive Director of the Emperor Textile Private Ltd (Playboy) Tirupur claimed their products were currently retailed at over 350 million US dollars. The company's unified target audiences are mainly trend-consiouss males, he added.

He said their products were available in markets across the countries US, Canada, South and Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

He said the test market of their product was going on in Chennai and Hyderabad for the last four months, in which their products were made available in 25 showroom stores and it had evoked good response.

They proposed to launch their product in 150 stores in 13 states in the country from September one. They also plan to increase their product range, bringing their accessories to the Indian market.

He said they target Rs 7 crore turnover for the first year of their market venture in the country.
