Court rejects Sadhu Yadav's bail application

Gopalganj, Aug 24 (UNI) District and Sessions Judge of Gopalganj Ranvijay Singh today rejected RJD MP Aniruddh Prasad Yadav alias Sadhu Yadav's anticipatory bail application in connection with a criminal case.

Following the Patna High court's direction, Mr Yadav had filed a bail petition before the same court, which had cancelled his anticipatory bail earlier on July 17. The court has again turned down his petition.

As per the charges, Mr Yadav and his bodyguards had manhandled Dinesh Kushwaha, a candidate to the post of Phulwariya Block Pramukh elections, on June 29, 2006.

A criminal case was lodged against Mr Yadav and his bodyguards in this connection.

Mr Yadav had moved court for an anticipatory bail in the Patna High court after his petition was rejected by the lower court.

Hearing the petition, the Patna High court forwarded the petition to the same district and sessions judge's court for reconsideration.
