Charas worth Rs 60 lakhs seized

Bettiah, Aug 24 (UNI) Custom department today seized 30 Kgs of charas worth Rs 60 lakhs from a bogey of Purvanchal Express at Bettiah railway station.

Custom superintendent Manmohan Sharma said that acting on a tip-off, a sleuth of custom department raided a compartment of the train and seized the contraband charas.

Raids were on to arrest the smugglers, he added.
