K'taka: Bomb threat at CIIL turns out to be hoax
Mysore, Aug 24: A bomb threat call received by the prestigious Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) here today turned out be a hoax.
Police said on receiving the anonymous call that a bomb planted in its office would explode at 1130 hrs, CIIL Director Udyanaryan Singh informed the police.
A thorough search by police and ballistic experts with the help of sniffer dogs yielded no explosives.
Over 500 employees were working in the Institute, engaged in language studies, besides training teachers in different languages.
