20 places of worship shifted

Jabalpur, Aug 24 (UNI) About 20 places of worship, constructed on roads hindering free flow of traffic, were shifted under an anti-encroachment drive launched in the city following a directive of Madhya Pradesh High Court.

With this, the total number of such encroachments shifted in the past five months crossed 100, Additional Collector Deepak Singh said.

As many as 11 structures were removed along the Tripuri Chowk-Medical College road yesterday. The idols and other artefacts were removed after performing rituals with the cooperation of public.
