Season ticket holders not to pay surcharge on superfast trains

Mumbai, Aug 23 (UNI) The Western Railway has decided not to levy surcharge on season ticket holders travelling by superfast trains, which have a total journey of less than 325 kms from the originating to the final station.

Superfast surcharge would continue to be levied on single journey ticket holders travelling by such trains, a release issued by the Western Railway said here today.

However, refund will not be granted to passengers who have already purchased monthly/quarterly superfast surcharge tickets, the release added.
