Russian diplomat dies (Important correction in para 2)

Chennai, Aug 23 (UNI) Russian Consul General in Chennai Nikolan Kov died here following a massive heart attack.

A delayed report said Mr Kov was found dead on his bed on August 21 (rpt) August 21 night and it appeared the death was due to massive cardiac arrest.

Mr Kov, (55), had come to the city only during the second week of this month, replacing his predecessor.

His body had been embalmed and would be flown to Moscow in a couple of days after completing formalities, sources said.
