Rudaresh,Rashid maintain lead,Shweta moves ahead

New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) Rudaresh Sharma and Rashid Khan shot identical round of three-over par 75 but still managed to retain joint lead at the midway stage of the first Delhi State Golf Championships here today.

Rudaresh and Rashid are now one-over 145 for two days. They were on shot clear of Rahul Sikund and three ahead Pawan Kumar and Rajeev Kumar.

Rashid, who has been selected for a coaching camp abroad by the IGU, shot his first nine in 39 but recovered to shoot 36 on the back stretch. Rudaresh shot 36-39 on the two nines.

The cut came at 18-over 172.

In the ladies section, Shweta Galande displaced Shruti Khanna from top spot. Shweta shot a 77 to go with first round 83 to be at 160, while Shruti, who had a 80 on first day scored 83 today to be at 163. Mehar Atwal 166, was third and Nalini Singh 168 was lying fourth.
