MAN FORCE Trucks to take part in Hanover Truck and Bus Show

Chennai, Aug 23 (UNI) MAN FORCE Trucks Pvt Ltd will participate in the world's most prestigious Truck and Bus Show to be held at Hanover, Germany.

The largest auto show would showcase four heavy trucks manufactured in India for the first time. The trucks were specially flown out in a chartered super jumbo jet from Mumbai to Hanover, a company release here said.

MAN FORCE TRUCKS Pvt Ltd is a joint venture between Force Motors Ltd, manufacturers of LCVs and three wheelers in India, and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, world leaders in truck and diesel engine technology.

Force Motors Chairman and Managing Director Abhay Firodia said "we are showing the made-in-India trucks at the world's largest auto show because these are meant for global markets." It was proposed to export trucks made by the joint venture to various countries in Central Asia, Africa, Far East, South America and Australasia, the release said.

The JV had installed capacity to produce 24,000 trucks per year, of which 50 per cent would be exported. The product range included trucks from 16 Tons GVW to 49 Tons GCW, besides tractor trailers, multi-axle rigids, tippers and various special purpose vehicles.
