Gliding camps to be held from Sep 4

Chandigarh, Aug 23 (UNI) The Haryana Sports and Youth Welfare Department has decided to organise gliding camps for youth of the state at Civil Aviation Club, Basola-Panchkula from September 4 to 30.

The camps would be organized to encourage the youth to take up such activities so as to channelise their energy towards positive direction, a spokesman of the department said.

As many as 60 youth, including 30 women, would take part in the camp from each division of the state. As per the schedule, the Girls Gliding Camp for Ambala division would be organized from September 4 to 7, for Rohtak division from September 7 to 10, for Hisar divison from September 10 to 13 and for Gurgaon division from September 13 to 16.

The Boys Gliding Camp will be organized from September 18 to 21 for Ambala division, from September 21 to 24 for Rohtak division, from September 24 to 27 for Hisar division and September 27 to 30 for Gurgaon division.

The spokesman said that all the District Sports and Youth Welfare Officers had been issued directions to send the names of the interested candidates for these gliding camps according to the standard of the adventurous activities.
