CII for 'Jt Task Force' for rapid industrial growth of MP
New Delhi, Aug 23 (UNI) The Confederation of Indian Industry and Members of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh have agreed on theconstitution of a joint task force for rapid industrial development of the state.
The decision was taken at an interactive session organised by CII here yesterday.
The industry representatives and Parliamentarians agreed on the suggestion of constituting a Joint Task Force to suggest roadmap and monitor effectiveness of measures undertaken.
The meeting also discussed the status of many schemes already in progress. MPs were of the opinion that while the growth of already developed industrial belts of the state should continue, efforts must be made to develop other industrially underdeveloped areas of the state as well.
CII Western Region Chairman Farhad Forbes emphasised the need for more interaction of such nature to strengthen the partnership between the government and the CII in the state.
''Such an interaction would be of mutual benefit and would highlight the role the honourable members may wish to play for further development of Madhya Pradesh.'' CII Madhya Pradesh Chairman Sunil Chordia made an elaborate presentation of various factors which can help in accelerating the process of industrialisation in Madhya Pradesh.
The hamber was requested to prepare a detailed action plan for such areas.
