BPO major SITEL, India launches new centre
Chennai, Aug 23: SITEL India, a fast growing BPO major, launched their global delivery centre here today with an investment of Rs 25 crore, in addition to the three centres at Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Safir Adeni, Chief Executive Officer of the Company told newsmen here there were 3000 employees in the three centres and the company planned to add 1000 more at the Chennai centre.
He said the company had four significant new business wins in the past five months. These wins together with their global leadership in operational excellence with best customer satisfaction has helped the firm to double the employee strength in India in the last one year.
He said the Chennai branch would have a contact centre and back-office services to clients in the Banking, Financial services and Insurance, Telecom, ISP and technology verticals. The firm offers contact center services like acquisition, customer service, technical support and collections.
With 30 per cent of its revenues coming from back office services such as insurance processing, invoice processing and account management servics the company was well positioned to provide a one stop suite of services to their clients, he added.
Answering a question he said the company was handling over 14 million transactions evey month through voice and non voice (Data) processess.
Mohan Sripada Vice-President-Human resources of the company said, so far they have recruited 50 employees for the new centre, which would begin operations next month.
