Balakrishna Gowda threatens to file defamatory case against Media

Bangalore, Aug 23 (UNI) Mr Balakrishna Gowda, son of former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) national President H D Deve Gowda, has threatened to file defamatory case against both Electronic and Print media.

In a release here. he said that the allegations made by the suspended BJP MLC Janardhana Reddy were baseless and ''we will make further course of action on the defamatory pronouncements made in both Electronic and Print Media at the earliest''.

He said that on the business transaction details entered in the Pass Book of the Bank Account of Mrs h Kavitha and M/S B S K Trading Inc has nothing to do with the Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy or the so called Mining allegations made by Mr Reddy against the present Coalition Government.

''There is no illegal transaction made by her (Mrs Kavitha). She is an Income Tax and Wealth Tax Assesee. The business transactions are transparent and duly support by evidence done in normal course'', Mr Gowda added.

Mr Gowda urged both the Centre and State Governments to bring in suitable amendments to the existing provisions of Law for speedy trial of defamatory suits, so that the defamed person get justice early and persons making reckless and dubious statements are brought to book under the provisions of law.
