Two more mushroom centres in Tripura

Agartala, Aug 22 (UNI) Tripura government has decided to set up two more mushroom production centres with the financial help of the North Eastern Council (NEC) in Tripura's South District shortly.

According to official sources here, two more mushroom production centres will be set up with the help of NEC at a cost of Rs 2.30 lakh in south district's Rajnagar and Bagafa Block under Belonia sub-division.

Three such mushroom production centres had already been set up with the help of NEC at Betaga and Pabiacherra in North District and in Amarpur in South district.

At a high level recently also decided to set up two seed processing centres in South District's Bagafa and Matabari blocks the cost for which estimated to be Rs 66 lakhs.

The meeting also decided to provide potato seeds and fertiliser for Rs one thousand to the affected potato growers who faced great loss last year, the sources added.
