Television transmission unaffected in Aurangabad
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Aug 21 (UNI) Television transmission remained unaffected in the city, as cable operators continued their services notwithstanding agitation launched by the cable operators in Mumbai today.
Mr Shailesh Nilkanth, President, Aurangabad Cable Operators Association (ACOA), described the action initiated by the authorities against the cable operators in Mumbai, as a 'wrong move.' There were about 350 cable operators in the city affiliated to the two local cable networks -- Aurangabad Cable Network (ACN) and Marathwada Cable Network.
The sources in the association said that a meeting of the cable operators was convened by the city police chief in the evening, in which the issue regarding the transmission of vulger content by the cable operators figured. However, the same could not be confirmed from the police authorites.
Meanwhile, cable operators affiliated to the ACOA are expected to meet tomorrow to chalk out their strategy, Mr Nilkanth said.
