Seminar on exam reforms in higher education from tomorrow
Bangalore, Aug 22 (UNI) A three-day brain storming session, aimed at bringing in reforms in the examination system in higher education in the country, will be held in the city from tomorrow.
More than 50 delegates from 35 universities, including Controllers and Deputy Controllers of Examination of Agriculture, Engineering, Open and Deemed varsities, would deliberate on the subject at a national seminar, organised by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore, under the auspices of Association of Indian Universties, New Delhi.
RGUHS Registrar (Evaluation) Dr T K Nagabushan told reporters here yesterday that the seminar would discuss Examination System in Higher Education: Emerging Problems and Probable Solutions, Paperless Theory Examination, Objective Structured Practical Examination, Model Evaluation System: Different Approaches, Evaluation: Accountability and Ensuring Right to Information, Transparency and Sanctity, and Research Degrees: Standard and Evaluation.
He said the recommendations of the seminar would be submitted to the Union Government for policy change in the examination system.
