Rupee opens weak by six paise at Rs 46.51/53 per USD

Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) The rupee today opened weak by six paise at Rs 46.51/53 per US dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 46.45 per USD, a trader in the money market said.

In the mid-morning trade, the Indian currency was trading at Rs 46.51/52 per USD.

The stock market too opened in the green, up by 36 points, and is currently trading 100 points up at 11,612.44 points.
