One cadre dies in inter-factional clash

Kohima, Aug 22 (UNI) At least one NSCN-IM cadre was killed and two others went missing when their rival factions NSCN(K) and Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) attacked on the NSCN-IM camp in Longkhim town under Tuensang district.

Official sources said the joint cadres attacked the NSCN-IM camps yesterday resulting in a gunfire that continued for half an hour.

The body of the deceased had been identified and sent to his home at Dimapur, sources said.

The district administration officials of Tuensang rushed to Longkhim after receving the information and brought the situation under control, the sources added.

However, the tension stil prevails in the area apprehending more inter-factional clashes.
