Martial arts expert sets new world record
Kozhikode, Aug 22 (UNI) In an attempt to gain entry into Guinness Book of World Records (GBWR), Kaju-Kado Karate and Martial Arts Academy Chief Controller Renshi M Dileep Kumar has set a new record by smashing 6,025 tiles.
He took only 45.44 minutes to achieve the feat at a demonstration witnessed by hundreds of people, including distiguished personalities and representatives from various media organisations from Irelanad, Sweden and Australia here last evening.
Dileep, also a personal security officer of Mysore Mahararaja, set another record by breaking 200 ice blocks.
His performance was recorded according to the norms stipulated by GBWR and certified copies of results would be sent to them further action, Programme Coordinator and Karnataka-based Okinawa School of Karate International Grand Master Satheesh Raj said.
Dileep had created world record by breaking 2,500 tiles at Jagmohan Palace in Mysore in January 2006 deserving entry into the Guinness.
The event was inaugurated by Kerala Industries Minister Elamaram Kareem.
