KLG Systel bags Rs 72 cr order from Rajasthan

New Delhi, Aug 2: Software company KLG Systel Ltd today said it has bagged orders worth Rs 72 crore from the Rajasthan government to renovate and improve the power operations to reduce the technical losses.

The orders received from Ajmer and Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd will help the company in reducing the losses of 11KV high voltage distribution system for areas of Banswara and Chittorgarh. The system will cover a total of 105 11KV feeders serving domestic rural consumers in these areas. It will also provide 24 hours electricity to domestic consumers in villages.

The company would also carry out revenue management and hand held computer based spot billing for Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam's 90,0000 rural consumers. It is expected to reduce commercial losses in these areas by about 10 per cent.

''With a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by the Indian power sector, we can safely say concurrent AT&C losses is the most prevelant and exigent problem today. As per our design, the project will result in the substantial reduction of aggregate transmission and distribution losses,'' KLG Systel MD Kumud Goel said.
