KEC bags Rs 150 cr orders

New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) KEC International today said it received orders worth Rs 150 crore from international and domestic markets, taking its order book to a record level of Rs 3000 crore.

The company has bagged a Rs 70 crore order from the power transmission division of Algerian utility company Sonelgaz, GRTE, for supply and construction of 400 KV single circuit transmission line over 52 kms from Ain Sefra to Mougrar.

The company also secured a contract of Rs 22 crore in Abudhabi for a 220 KV transmission line of 12 kms from Mirfa to Ruwaison on turnkey basis.

West Bengal State Electricity Board awarded the company an order worth Rs 58.3 crore, which involves supply and construction of three lines of 132 KV D/C each around Haldia.

The company, a leading power transmission, engineering and procurement and construction firm, has presence in more than 15 countries.

It is currently engaged in executing orders in countries such as Abu Dhabi, Ethiopia, Libya, Kuwait, Algeria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Zambia, Oman and Nigeria.

In the domestic market it is executing various orders for PGCIL, WBSEB and UPPCL.
