WR collects Rs 28.78 lakhs fine from ticketless travellers
Ahmedabad, Aug 21 (UNI) The Western Railway has collected penalties to the tune of Rs 28.78 lakhs from ticketless travellers in the period from July 2005 to July 2006.
This was informed at a meeting called by Divisional Railway Manager L K Pandey today.
Mr Pandey described the performance of the TTEs as ''impressive''. He also announced the ''Man of the Month'' trophy and cash awards to his staff.
