Tripura experiences moderate rainfall in the last 48 hours

Agartala, Aug 21 (UNI) Tripura has experienced moderate rainfall in the last 48 hours.

Met officials said here today that the rainfall measured in the capital city in last 24 hours was 34.7 mm followed by Saboom in South district, which was 33.7 mm. The other places of the state like Kailashahar and Dharmanagar in North Tripura district too has also received moderate rainfall.

The local Met office forecast heavy rains in the next 24 hours accompanied by thunder showers.

Officially the monsoon season in the state starts from June and ends in September. But the state is experiencing late monsoon this year.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.8 degree Celsius while the minimum at 25 degree Celsius. The maximum relative humidity in the last 24 hours was 95 per cent and the minimum 72 per cent.
