Patiala, Aug 21 (UNI) After the successful launch of the Chandigarh-Delhi AC luxury bus, the Punjab government today began another bus service between Patiala and the national capital.

The Patiala-Delhi-Patiala luxury coach, being run by the Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), was today flagged off by Lok Sabha member Preneet Kaur and Punjab Transport Minister Rangunath Sahay Puri.

The Punjab Roadways launched the Chandigarh-Delhi-Chandigarh luxury coach last month.

Ms Preneet Kaur said the aim was to provide a first of its kind luxury bus service to the people of Patiala. The traders would be benefitted as their long-standing demand for such a bus service was fulfilled today, she added.

Mr Puri said the PRTC had bought the world class 'Kingkong' bus with several luxury features from China.

He said around 300 buses have already been added to the Punjab Roadways fleet and another 360 and 200 buses would be given to the Punjab Roadways and the PRTC respectively.
