Khan Sahib's body taken for 'Janata Darshan' at Benia Bag

Varanasi, Aug 21 (UNI) The Benia Bag -- often a full house during soccer matches -- has been thronged by an endless crowd craving to catch the last glimpse of shehnai wizard Bharat Ratna Bismillah Khan, who died here early today.

The body, kept in a black coffin, was carried to the Benia Bag by Khan Sahib's family members and residents of Harha Sarai locality, which houses the residence of the late music legend.

''The body will be kept at the Benia Bag for Janata Darshan till 1600 hrs following which, the burial procession will leave for Karbala in Fatman locality,'' secretary to the Bharat Ratna S Javed told UNI.
