It is time to take back PoK from Pak: J-K BJP
Jammu, Aug 21 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir unit of Bharatiya Janata Party today urged the Congress-led UPA government to take up the issue of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Gilgit-Baltistan with the Pakistani leadership.
The unanimous resolution taken by Parliament in 1994 binds India to take back all illegally occupied state territories from Pakistan, including PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan and merge them with this part of the state.
The BJP state vice president Ashok Khajuria, in a press briefing, said, ''Now is the opportune moment to take concrete steps designed to give effect to the resolution of Parliament in February 1994 to take back all illegal occupation from Pakistan.'' He said New Delhi had taken all measures to normalise relationship over the years despite the fact that Islamabad had not taken any step whatsoever to punish and destroy anti-India modules or to destroy the terrorist training camps - 27 in Pakistan, 28 in PoK and four in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The BJP leader alleged that Pakistan, the ISI and innumerable terrorist modules caused bomb blasts in Delhi, Bangalore, Varanasi, Ayodhya and other places, which left hundreds of innocent Indians dead and many more seriously wounded.
