Heavy rains likely at Gangetic WB

Pune, Aug 21 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorours over west Rajasthan and active over Assam and Meghalaya, Orissa and Gujarat region.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at Gangetic West Bengal and Orissa. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, South Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and at a few places in Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at many places in west Rajasthan. Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa and very light rains have occurred at isolated places in west Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka.

Rains or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat region, coastal Karnataka and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic west Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Konkan and Goa, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Bihar, Uttaranchal, east Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Saurashtra and Kutch, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan west Bengal and Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Kerala. Mainly dry weather prevailed over west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.
