HC notice in Jessica Lal murder case

New Delhi, August 21 (UNI) The Delhi High court today issued notices to Delhi police on a petition filed by a doctor allegedly involved in Jessica Lal murder case, Dr JS Bedi.

A division bench headed by Justices RS Sodi and PK Bhasin observed that the reply to notices would be heard on September 4.

Senior counsel KTS Tulasi arguing for Dr Bedi, facing allegation of having issued fake medical certificates, to help Vikas Gill, an accused in Jessica Lal murder case, seek exemption from personal appearances before the trial court.

The doctor has since been on run, his anticipatory bail having been rejected.
