GAIL wins Dun

New Delhi, Aug 21: Gail India Ltd today said it had been recognised as the top Indian company in the Gas-Processing, Transmission and Marketing Sector for the Dun&Bradstreet American Express Corporate Awards 2006.

Gail CMD Proshanto Banerjee received the award on behalf of the company from SEBI Chairman Damodaran The corporate awards have been launched to recognise the twin virtues of size and growth in the top organisations of corporate India.

The awards recognised the best organisations spread across various sectors such as Oil and Gas Exploration, Power Generation, Banks, Software and IT, Fertilisers, Cement, FMCG and others.

Gail (India) Ltd, country's principal natural gas transmission and marketing company has extended its presence in Power, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) re-gasification, City Gas Distribution and Exploration&Production through equity and joint ventures participations.
