Fifteen villages evacuated in view of flood threat in Bhind
Bhind, Aug 21 (UNI) Fifteen villages in this district's Ater area have been evacuated in view of flood threat due to release of water from Rajasthan's Kota barrage, official sources said today.
Collector Rashmi Shami said residents had been lodged in relief camps and food packets were being provided to them.
The villages evacuated include Dewala, Mukutpura, Nawli, Vrindavan, Kuchhpura, Dinpura, Nasroli, Surajpura and Jingola, Rama, Ramakot and Gyanpura.
Besides the Collector, local MLA Satydev Katare visited the flood affected and inspected security arrangements in the camp. He expressed dissatisfaction at the measures taken by the administration for security in camps.
