Chopra signs off tied 41st at the PGA Championship

Medinah, Illinois, Aug 21 (UNI) Daniel Chopra once again struggled in his back nine at the Medinah Country Club as he carded a disappointing one-over 73 to finish tied 41st in the 65,00,000 dollar PGA Championship here.

The Indian-born Swede could hardly improve upon his third-round card of four-over 76 and ended the tournament with a four-day total of one-over 288.

Chopra was off to a fine start as he fired a birdie on the first hole but a double-bogey on the seventh meant that he made the turn at one-over.

He soon wiped out the deficit with consecutive birdies on the 14th and 15th. However, it was back to square one for the Swede as he dropped shots on the 16th and 17th to end the day on a disappointing note.

At the top, Tiger Woods won his 12th major title with a sizzling 68 in the final round to leave behind playing partner and joint overnight leader Luke Donald.

The world number one finished with a four-day total of 18-under 270, five shots clear of Donald, who carded a 69 on the final day.
