Another humid day, rains continue to elude Delhi
New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) Delhi today had another warm and humid day even as rains continued to elude the capital despite a swathe of clouds hovering over the skyline.
Though it was a predominantly cloudy day interspersed with sunny intervals, the high humidity level continued to leave Delhiites perspiring.
The maximum temperature today rose to 34.5 degrees Celsius, from 33.4 degrees Celsius yesterday.
Meanwhile the lull in monsoon rains in the capital, after the heaviest spell of the South West Monsoon on July 26, continued today.
And, though the weathermen have forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi with possibility of rain and thundershowers in some areas during the next 24 hours, the lull in rainfall activity is likely to persist for the next few days.
Weathermen have, however, forecast some heavy rains by Thursday due to the West Northwesterly movement of the Monsoon system.
