Woman jumps in front of train with two children

Amritsar, Aug 20 (UNI) A woman and her two children were crushed to death after she jumped, along with them, in front of the Chhattisgarh Express near here.

The middle-aged woman, who has not been identified so far, yesterday threw herself on the track at 1610 hrs as the speeding train passed near village Khalkot on the outskirts of the city, Railway police sources said.

The bodies were removed from the track by the Railway police and efforts were being made to establish the identity of the deceased.

The train movement on the Amritsar-Jalandhar section was disrupted for sometime and Chhattisgarh Express left the spot after a short delay, the sources said.
