Six die in bus-truck collision near Anand in Gujarat

Anand (Gujarat), Aug 20 (UNI) At least six passengers died and 40 others sustained injuries, ten of them seriously, when a state transport bus collided head-on with a speeding truck near Balasinor town, about 65 kms from here, today.

According to a preliminary report reaching here, the mishap took place when the Gujarat State Road and Transport Corporation (GSRTC) bus plying between Dhahod-Ahmedabad collided head-on with a speeding truck.

The report says, two persons died on the spot, while four others succumbed to their injuries on their way to the hospital.

The ten seriously injured passengers have been shifted to civil hospital at Ahmedabad for further treatment.

Police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
