Shakira tops UK charts with "Hips Don't Lie"

LONDON, Aug 20 (Reuters) Colombian singer Shakira stayed top of the British singles chart today while Christina Aguilera knocked James Morrison from the top album spot.

Shakira's single ''Hips Don't Lie'' featuring Haitian-American rapper Wyclef Jean held off Chamillionaire and Krayzie Bone's ''Ridin''', which shot up 17 places to number two.

Third was French DJ David Guetta's ''Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away)'' which stormed up from last week's 28.

The Arctic Monkeys' new release ''Leave Before The Lights Come On'' entered at number four while last week's number two, ''Everytime We Touch'' from Cascada dropped three places, one ahead of Cassie's ''Me&U'' which was up 17 places.

Aguilera's single ''Ain't No Other Man'' fell from third to seventh, but the singer-songwriter's newest album ''Back To Basics'' went straight to the top of the album charts where it knocked Morrison's ''Undiscovered'' into second place.

Morrison's single ''You Give Me Something'' was down three places at eight, while Barbadian singer Rihanna saw ''Unfaithful'' slip to ninth. Rounding off the top 10 was Mickey Modelle V Jessy whose song ''Dancing In The Dark'' leapt to 10th from 66th.

In the album chart, in third slot was Snow Patrol's ''Eyes Open'', down one place, while Orson was steady at four with ''Bright Idea''.
