Memorial lecture in Left leader's memory tomorrow

Guwahati, Aug 20 (UNI) The first Phani Bora Memorial Lecture has been organised tomorrow in the city on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Late Bora was a doyen of the Left movement in Asom and had held many important social positions.

The subject of the lecture is 'Can Globalisation transcend the community?'. Prof Udayan Mishra of the Dibrugarh University, Manipur Agriculture, Food and Civil Supply Minister Parijat Singh and Mr Promod Gogoi, president, All India Trade Union Congress, and vice-president, World Trade Union Congress, would speak on the topic.

This was informed through a release by the Convenor of the Phani Bora Foundation Preparatory Committee, the organisers of the lecture.
