Haryana to provide one lakh job opportunities to youths

Sirsa, Aug 20 (UNI) Haryana government will provide one lakh job opportunities to the youths in government sector, Finance Minister Birender Singh today said.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said that the process of recruiting 15,000 teachers in the Education Department of the state was in progress besides the recruitment of 20,000 persons in the Power Utilities, 10,000 in the Police department and 4,000 fourth class employees in the Education Department.

The Finance Minister said that the Special Economic Zones (SEZs) were being set up in Haryana for promoting industrial development and foreign investment where more than 10 lakh youth would get employment.

He said that Haryana had become the first choice of the multinational companies in the field of investment and investment of Rs 40,000 crore had been made in the state during the regime of the present state government.

Mr Singh reminded that the rate of development in agriculture had raised to 3.9 per cent which was only 1.8 per cent two years ago, which was a remarkable achievement of the state government.

He said that the present rate of economic development in the state had reached to an appreciable point of 8.6 per cent which was maximum in the country.
