Harikrishna gives a superb performance at Ordix Open

Mainz, Germany, Aug 20 (UNI) Chess 960 Rapid World Junior Champion Pentala Harikrishna gave a superb performance to win all his five games on the first day of the Ordix Open being played here.

A record number of 68 Grandmasters and Women Grandmasters are part of a massive 632 players participating in this Strong Rapid Tournament in which 11 games are to be played in two days.

Harikrishna is now jointly leading the tournament with 8 more players with 5 points each.

Speaking to UNI after his fifth game Harikrishna said ''After I lost two games in the FiNet Open on the first day, I worked hard on my openings and I won games with my favourite anti marshal. I have now won all the 5 games on the first day. If I continue this winning tomorrow than I will be in the top Position.'' UNI XC SK PM001
