Drugs worth Rs one crores seized; three arrested

Lucknow, Aug 20 (UNI) Police have seized illegal drugs, worth Rs one crore in the international market from the state capital and arrested three drug peddlars.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Lucknow) G K Goswami said here today that on suspicion, police caught hold of three persons near Baradari last night and seized about 900 grams of refined cocaine from their possession.

The three arrested persons - Rajiv Kumar, Sukhbir Singh Yadav and Rajesh Mishra- said they were handed over the drugs by a person called Master in Kannauj. The trio were waiting for a person who was to be delivered the drugs.

Mr Goswami said a police team has been sent to Kannauj to get hold of the gang leader.
