Class 10th student gangraped in Hoshiarpur village

Hoshiarpur, Aug 20 (UNI) An 18-year-old class tenth student of Bassi Jaura village in the district was gangraped by two youths and their uncle, all of the same village.

The culprits, who were absconding, had kidnapped the girl on August 16 morning and gangraped her for after reeping her in confinement for two days.

They absconded yesterday after an FIR was lodged against them under sections 363, 366, 376, 342, 506 and 120 B IPC.

Hoshiarpur Sadar Police has launched an aggressive hunt for the accused who were identified as Daljit Singh alias Laddi, Shri and their uncle, police here said.

They had dropped the victim at the city bus stand after committing the crime and threatened her not to narrate the incident to any one, failing which she would face dire consequences.
