Chopra unanimously elected DSA president
New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) Subhash Chopra was unanimously elected the president of the DSA for a four-year term at the association's Annual General Meeting (AGM) here today.
Mr Chopra, who was the president of the DSA for two terms from 1972 to 1979, was elected after his rival Umesh Sood decided to opt out and proposed Mr Chopra's name for the post. The proposal was seconded by incumbent secretary Narinder Kumar Bhatia.
The AGM was attendet by 70 of the 81 members. Later Mr Chopra assured the members that he would safeguard the interests of players by ensuring proper playing and other facilities for them.
