Bread makers to meet tomorrow to decide on price rise

Kolkata, Aug 20 (UNI) The Joint Action Committee of West Bengal Bakery Association and West Bengal Bakers Co-ordination Committee would meet tomorrow to decide whether to increase the price of bread.

West Bengal Bakery Association's joint action committee secretary Idris Ali said the raw material cost of making bread has increased three folds in the last few days and they would be forced to increase the prices if the situation prevailed.

Mr Ali also called for the state government's intervention in controlling the cost of raw materials and said they would be forced to resort to agitational measures if the situation prevails.
