Boat carrying govt officials capsizes, all rescued

Surat, Aug 20 (UNI) A boat carrying state Urban Development secretary S R Rao and Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Joshi today capsized in the Tapi river, but the officials were immediately rescued.

The incident occurred at around 1700 hrs when they had gone to Dhaboli to inspect the condition of the embankments of the river in view of the flood.

Two other government officials who were with Mr Rao and Mr Joshi were also rescued.
